Birth

birth given into earth
breathing its air and its gift of
clouds and blue oceans
of flowers and rainbow colored butterflies
of broken visions of endless stars
and notions of forever when you look into the sky

birth given into questions of eternity
and why we live only to die
who are we to judge heartbeats
and reasons?

birth given into cold seasons of snow falling
and sun warming summer nights
tears of green falling in autum
and a dance of flowers in spring

birth given to me.
